STUDENT QUESTION
Python or Java: which should I learn first?
SHORT ANSWER
For most beginners, Python. It reads almost like English, so you learn to think like a programmer without fighting the language. Pick Java first if your college course or the work you want uses Java.
Over chaiPython is the cutting chai of coding: small, quick, and almost everyone starts with it.
A LITTLE MORE
A little more detail.
- Why Python firstShort, readable code, and you see results fast, which keeps you going. print("Hi") prints Hi. That is it. It is used for data, AI, automation and websites.
- When Java firstJava is stricter and wordier: more typing to say the same thing. It runs a lot of big company software and Android apps, and many students practise DSA for coding interviews in Java.
- The good newsBoth teach the same logic: variables, loops, conditions, functions. Your second language is much easier than your first, the way your second train route is easier than your first.
- At AksnovaPython Programming starts from zero. Java & DSA suits students who already know a little coding, so Python first and Java & DSA next works well.
